On 17 July, World Lithuanians’ Unity Day, the Money Museum was visited by Lithuanian emigrants from Murmansk. As a sign of gratitude for the interesting tour organised for them on the day before and for the great exhibition, the ensemble Lietuva of Murmansk’s Lithuanians gave a performance.
The participants of the ensemble Vytautas, Irina (Irena) and Elena sang patriotic, emigration and Lithuanian folk songs. The guests were presented with a Money Museum’s medal and its most recent publication — the catalogue Coins of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at the Money Museum of the Bank of Lithuania, prepared by a member of staff of the Money Museum, Vincas Ruzas. The Lithuanians from Murmansk promised to return next year!
