On 8–12 November, the Bank of Lithuania e-shop (www.coins.lb.lt) will be down for maintenance.
Users will not be able to make orders via the e-shop, purchase coins or collect the ordered coins at the Bank of Lithuania cash offices.
Numismatic items issued by the Bank of Lithuania will still be available for purchase through the official distributors of numismatic items.
The overhauled e-shop will be launched on Wednesday, 13 November.
The new version of the Regulations for the Sale of Numismatic Items of the Bank of Lithuania will come into force on the same day. Key amendments are as follows:
- The total mintage of coins will be placed on the e-shop once pre-order starts, i.e. five days before the official date of the issue of the coins.
- The coins will be available for purchase at the Bank of Lithuania cash offices on the official day of their issue only if the entire mintage has not been already sold during the pre-sale stage.
- During pre-sale and on the day of the issue of the coins, no more than two collector coins will be sold per person. Later, no restrictions will apply.
- Part of the total mintage may be used for representation of the Bank of Lithuania, municipal institutions or relevant organisations as well as sale at trade fairs.
