The Exhibition and Education Hall

The Exhibition and Education Hall is dedicated to lectures, conferences and temporary exhibitions. It provides speakers with the possibility of accessing the internet, using audio and visual technology, DVD or other multimedia. On 29 October 2015, the Lithuanian Sea Museum opened the exhibition “The Sea Opens up the World” in the Exhibition and Education Hall at the Money Museum. It puts on display nearly 100 commemorative coins and medals on the theme of geographical discoveries, explorers, and types of vessels.

At the end of 2014 the largest coin pyramid in the world was erected at the Money Museum — made from a million Lithuanian one-cent coins. This achievement was given over to be registered in the Guiness Book of World Records.
