On 10 March 2015, an event of the presentation of the 5 and 20 euro collector coins, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Lithuania’s independence (from the series “Lithuania’s Road to Independence”), took place at the Money Museum of the Bank of Lithuania.
On 1 January 2015, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Algirdas Butkevičius, Finance Minister Rimantas Šadžius, and the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, Vitas Vasiliauskas, presented to the Head of the Money Museum, Vidmantas Laurinavičius, the first 10 euro banknotes, withdrawn from an ATM on the night of 1 January 2015 in Vilnius.
